"Ryan is incredible. Very easy to work with. Flawless and beautiful playing. A huge catalog of songs and a happy willingness to learn anything not on his already extensive list."

FAQ's

What's included in ceremony music service?

Music will begin up to an hour before your ceremony. From experience, early guests are likely to arrive 45 minutes before the ceremony. Treating them to live music is a beautiful way to welcome them and set the tone for your day. Also included in ceremony music is unlimited ceremony songs, expert guidance, and the option to request any song(s) in the world. After your ceremony, the music will continue playing during your recession and as guests exit.

Booking process and price?

Lock in your date with a $200 deposit + signed agreement. Since I'll reserve the whole day just for you, music timelines can be adjusted anytime. Prices are $1000 for ceremony music service, and $200 per hour for reception music. Ceremony music plus cocktail hour music is the most popular choice ($1200).

Additional charges?

  • Mileage fee (minimal) for travel outside the Albuquerque metro area

  • New song requests sometimes have a modest preparation fee.

No other fees, ever. Guaranteed in our signed agreement.

Do you provide a sound system?

Yes. A quality 2-speaker PA system, fit for weddings of all sizes and settings, including off-grid. You're welcome to use this system (and a microphone I'll provide) for your officiant and vows. And if you'll be having me for cocktail hour, I'll set up a separate PA system (beforehand) for a fast transition.

Have you performed at our venue?

I've played at most of the major venues. I'm confident working in any venue or setting. You can see a list of venues I've performed for weddings here.

Planning process?

To supplement the enthusiastic, helpful support I'm known for, I've created a guide to eliminate guesswork on your end. Browse song suggestions for each ceremony moment, as you listen to YouTube recordings of the actual songs. You can't beat this method for helping me create the atmosphere and storyline you'll love!

Who do you serve?

Everyone is welcome at Ryan Smith Cello Music.

"Ryan was amazing. Easy to work with, even from a state away. The music was so perfect, well composed and well played. He really made it special. He was worth every penny we spent and then some. I'll never forget walking down the aisle to the perfect song played live by this lovely artist."
