I bring thousands of hours of experience recording cello in mixes, and play everything from classic strings to metal.
Music is a gift and a language, and I'm not here to judge anyone's journey or process. I'm here to add awesome cello and have a good time doing it!
Common approaches to studio or live sessions:
1. sketch parts before the session, usually from a demo
2. record some different ideas to see which you prefer
3. show up to the gig ready to give my best cello sounds
In the recordings below, you'll hear me doing everything from doubling guitar lines (Barbwire Bouquet), playing a bass line in orchestral style (Still I Wait), or improvising a solo (Shelter from the Storm).
